Your trainer takes your dog out for structured training walks — building real-world skills in the actual environments where they're needed. You get results while we do the legwork.
Walk & Train is built around one simple idea — training should happen where the problems actually occur. Not in a controlled backyard or a quiet hall, but out on the footpath where the other dogs, bikes, kids and distractions are.
Your trainer picks up your dog and takes them for a structured 60-minute training walk. Every walk has a focus — whether that's loose lead work, building focus around triggers, practising recalls, or general on-lead manners.
It's ideal for busy owners who want consistent professional input without needing to be present for every session. Progress notes are sent after each walk so you always know what was covered and what to reinforce at home.
We start with a brief meet-and-greet to understand your dog's history, current challenges, and what you want to achieve. This shapes the focus of every walk that follows.
Your trainer collects your dog at the agreed time. No need for you to be home — we can coordinate key arrangements. Your dog leaves for a structured, purposeful training walk.
Every walk has a clear training focus. We work on what matters most — reactivity, lead manners, focus, or whatever your dog needs most in that moment. Real streets, real distractions, real progress.
After every session you'll receive a written update — what was worked on, how your dog responded, and what to practise at home to reinforce the session. You're always in the loop.
All sessions are 60 minutes, conducted within Newcastle & Lake Macquarie. Block sessions never expire — use them at whatever pace suits you.
Most dog training happens in controlled, low-distraction environments. The problem is, your dog's behaviour problems don't happen in controlled environments — they happen on Tuesday morning when another dog rounds the corner.
Walk & Train puts the work directly into the context where it's needed. Your dog learns to stay focused, walk calmly, and respond reliably in the real world — because that's exactly where we're training.
"Two kids, full-time job — I just can't always be there for sessions. This worked perfectly for us. Dog's come on heaps and I barely had to rearrange anything."
"The walk and train sessions are brilliant because it's real life — not a hall, not a controlled space. She was practising in the actual places she used to lose it."
"Three sessions and the pulling is basically gone. We do our evening walks now and it's actually enjoyable. No idea why we didn't do this sooner."
