Private Training is explicitly for reactivity and aggression — nothing else. Behaviour modification and Board & Train graduate follow-up sessions are part of that same scope, not separate services. If your dog just needs basic manners, this isn't the right page — and we'll tell you that directly.

Reactivity and aggression. Nothing else.

Every session on this page exists to serve one of two problems — a dog that reacts, or a dog that's aggressive. The four situations below are how that shows up in practice.

Lunging or barking at other dogs, people, bikes or cars — worked at a manageable pace in your own environment.

We establish exactly where your dog starts reacting so every session is set up to succeed, not flood.

In-home or the real trigger

Sessions start at home, then move to wherever the behaviour actually happens.

Counter-conditioning, not suppression

We change how your dog feels about the trigger — slower, but it's what actually lasts.

Handler skills coaching

Reactivity and aggression live in the handler's timing as much as the dog's training.

Written session recap

A clear summary after every session — what to practise, what to avoid before next time.

Message support between sessions — no waiting until the next appointment for a quick check.

Two packages. No single sessions.

Reactivity and aggression don't shift in a single session, so Private Training is only offered as a 5 or 10-session package — enough room for assessment, counter-conditioning, proofing and handover.

For a reactive or aggressive dog, Private Training is usually the right starting point — it's exactly what this service is built for. Our intensive 8-week Board & Train program is the alternative for the most complex, multi-issue cases that need full-time daily structure. We'll recommend honestly on the free call.
We use whatever's right for the dog — food, toy, lead pressure, and balanced tools where appropriate. Nothing is used punitively, and nothing is used to suppress a warning. Everything is explained, and you sign off before any tool is introduced.

Most bite-history cases are well suited to Private Training's in-home work; the most severe or unpredictable cases may be better handled through our intensive 8-week Board & Train program, where we have full-time control of the environment.
