Fully trained puppies · Only 2 per year

Skip the puppy chaos.
Bring home a finished dog.

One puppy every six months. Hand-picked by the trainer for temperament, raised and trained in our home from eight weeks old, and handed over to you at 6–7 months — house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained and ready for real life.

The first six months shape the next twelve years.

Most behaviour problems we see in adult dogs were set in puppyhood — missed socialisation, inconsistent rules, habits that were cute at ten weeks and a nightmare at ten months. A Finished Dog skips all of that. Every day of those critical early months is spent with a professional trainer, building the dog you actually want to live with.

Deliberately limited

Two dogs a year. That's it.

Raising a puppy properly is a full-time job, so we only ever have one in the house at a time. No production line, no shortcuts — just one dog getting our complete attention, start to finish.

Step one — the most important one

Selected for temperament, not looks.

You don't pick the puppy — the trainer does. After hundreds of dogs, we know what a great family dog looks like at eight weeks old, and it isn't always the cutest one in the litter.

Every puppy is assessed for the traits that make training stick and family life easy. Only a puppy that ticks every box comes home with us.

SteadyRecovers quickly from surprises — noises, new places, new people.
SocialGenuinely people-focused and comfortable being handled.
BiddableWants to work with you, and switches on for food and play.
BalancedEnough drive to learn, enough off-switch to settle in the house.

Common questions

Before you put your name down.

Put your name down and we'll book a call to get to know your household. Places are offered in waitlist order, and only two dogs are placed each year — one roughly every six months. When your spot comes up, we'll be in touch before the puppy is selected.
The trainer selects the puppy for temperament — that's the whole point of the program. We'll talk through your preferences and lifestyle on the call so we're matching the right dog to the right home, but the final pick is based on temperament first.
Labrador, Golden Retriever, Spaniel, German Shepherd or Australian Shepherd, depending on availability. All five are intelligent, people-focused and highly trainable. Tell us your preference when you put your name down and we'll let you know what's likely for your intake. Whatever the breed, temperament always comes first in the selection.
Yes — once your puppy is selected you'll get regular photo and video updates so you can watch them grow and see the training come together. We'll talk through visits on the call.
That's long enough to get through the hardest puppy months — toilet training, teething, mouthing and the critical socialisation window — and build real obedience that's been proofed in public. It's also young enough that your dog bonds with your family quickly.
You get a full handover session, a written training guide for your dog, and ongoing support so the training transfers to you and holds up in your home. If you ever need a refresher, Private Training sessions are always available.
A Finished Dog is $6,800, and it includes everything — the puppy, vet work, food, gear, around five months of live-in training, the handover session and ongoing support. No extras, no add-ons. See what's included →
