Is Foundation right for your dog?

Foundation is built for dogs with straightforward, single issues — not complex or stacked behavioural work.

Foundation is usually the right fit for:

  • General obedience gaps — recall, loose-leash walking, place and stay
  • Jumping on people, pulling on the lead, poor engagement
  • Non-severe reactivity that hasn't escalated
  • General anxiety (not separation anxiety)
  • A young dog or new rescue that just needs a clean, structured start
  • Owners who want a genuinely well-mannered dog without a long list of behavioural issues to unpick

Probably not the right fit if your dog has:

  • Three or more issues stacked together
  • Resource guarding, fence running or fence fighting, over-arousal
  • Reactivity that's escalated or unpredictable
  • Separation anxiety
  • Any aggression toward people or other dogs

These need more time to actually change, not just settle — Transformation or Elite is the better starting point.
